With this awarded capacity of 700 MW, the company's total locked-in generation capacity increased to 11.7 GW, of which 2.1 GW will be solar. It also comprises 7.2 GW of operational caapcity, 2.6 GW under-construction across wind, thermal and hydro and LoAs for 1.2 GW capacity from SECI (Tranche - XVI) and SJVN
The current installed generation capacity is 7.2 GW, and aims to have 9.8 GW of installed capacity by 2024-end. In addition, the company has 3.4 GW of locked-in energy storage capacity by means of battery energy storage system (BESS) and hydro pumped storage project
SECI is a nodal agency of the central government for auctioning renewable energy projects
